What a year 2011 was!!! We’re now refreshed after a Christmas break (enforced), and are raring to start looking for a new singer in earnest.
Thanks to all those who have shown interest so far, and we’ll be getting in touch soon.

OK, it’s about time we posted an update on what’s going on, in the Final Hour camp.
As you probably already know we lost Lee a couple of weeks ago, careless of us, but there you go!!!
We’ve had to rearrange the calendar slightly, cancelling the last gig at the Anchor (really sorry Dave!), and we are not playing tomorrow at the Alexandra. However, we have got the great Gatorville standing in for us, and Rick is bashing the skins with them.
We are still doing the Crown gig on the 4th, and the mighty Scott (from Metalleeka) is rescuing us on vocals for that gig.
We continue to look for a new silver tongued rock god (or goddess), so if you know of a likely candidate, please let us know.
More news as we know it

A big thanks to the Millennium 2000BC, for letting us play the Thursday night, after major diary confusion!! It was a great gig, and we played the longest sets we’ve ever done – over 2 and a half hours in total!! To say we were knackered and won’t be doing this again, is an understatement!
Big thanks go out to Mick Campbell (from Gatorville, http://www.gatorville.co.uk/ ) for the loan of extra PA kit, and Dave Perry (from Rock Nation, http://rocknationonline.co.uk/) for doing sound and lights.
It was a great production, and got a serious amount of volume and clarity in the room!! Nice. A long day me me as I hit site at 1pm, and didn’t get home until after 1:30am the following day, as it was all our rig.
We look forward to the ‘But Why’ Rally in September now.
This last weekend we played a Sunday evening at the Crown, in Darwen, and had the usual great night. Always a funny gig, as it starts off quiet, and then builds to a great ending.
Back in Darwen this coming weekend, for our first gig at the Alexandra on Sat night, and back to Dave’s place, the Anchor for Sunday Tea time fun. If the weathers good we’ll be back outside as well.
That’s it for now, and we hope to see you all soon. Rick

Due to monumental diary cock-up (courtesy of me!!!) we are playing the Thursday night, on our own, plus rock DJ.
You’ll get 2 full sets of us, and according to my man Spen, Thursday at the rally is the new Friday, so get on down, for a great night!!

A great gig on Friday night. The people who were in the Royal Oak loved it, and with a bit of luck we’ll be back there soon on a Saturday night.
A big thanks to Steve, from Alibi, for the load of his D&B bass bins to give us a little extra ooomph.
And a big up for Stevie G for sorting Bobby Priest’s Marshall woes on the night!! Don’t touch that button Bobby!

Great gig at the Dog in Oswaldtwistle this Sat…
they raised over £300 for charity, we had a great time and we got some great comments
“best band I’ve heard in here…” (think that was Ian’s Mrs
and
“you guys should do some Metallica” (just after we’d played ‘creeping death’)
looking forward to playing there again…

I loved the way that the google add engine overlayed the vid with ‘Medical Supplies’, I guess ‘Final Hour’ translates well in the add engine!!

Since I had a chance to post – what with Facebook and all the other places you have to write stuff in these days!!!
Anyway, here I am back at the keyboard.
2010 was an eventful year, ill guitarists, new guitarists, stand in guitarists, the whole 9 yards.
So we’ve started 2011 (it’s nearly March already!), and the gigs have started.
Last night’s show at the Crown was pretty good, great crowd, and we played fairly well to boot.
One more gig then and month of rehearsals, and some time ot get new songs in the set.
For any music nerds out there I have been playing with a DAW app called Reaper, as a replacement to Cubase LE, and so far it’s looking very nice in deed.
Anyway, welcome to 2011. Happy Days (as Stevie G would say).
